About me

I’m a brand designer and creative director based in Toronto, with nearly two decades of experience shaping brands, systems, and digital experiences.

I didn’t come up through agencies. I started in house, inside large organizations, learning how systems scale and where they break. It was a solid path, but not a satisfying one. I wanted to work where craft mattered, where ideas were challenged, and where design had a clear point of view.

In 2016, I stepped away from stability and started from nothing. No agency background. No safety net. Just a standard I wasn’t willing to lower.

I took on whatever work came my way and treated every project as a chance to earn my seat. I obsessed over craft, learned strategy, taught myself the business of design, and over delivered until the work could speak for itself. Eventually, it did.

Since then, I’ve worked with founders, studios, and agencies who value clarity and good work, including CBC, Canada Post, Lindt, Spline, Two Small Fish Ventures, Church + State, and Pixels&. The work has been recognized by platforms like The Dieline, Communication Arts, Applied Arts, Awwwards, and CSS Design Awards. Recognition is gratifying, but it has never been the point. The real reward has always been the people and the shared belief in doing fucking great work.

In 2023, I was invited by First Round to give my first public talk, alongside studios I had admired for years. It terrified me. I said yes anyway. Discomfort has been a better teacher than comfort ever was.

Building a business sharpened my perspective. It taught me how decisions ripple, how culture forms, and why clarity matters.

Now, I want to bring that experience into a team that obsesses over craft, protects curiosity, and chooses to do things differently.

That’s where I do my best work.
That’s where I want to be next.

Community

I stay deeply involved in the design community because I wouldn’t be here without the mentors who shaped how I think and see. Staying engaged is how I give that back.

I mentor students and early career designers, review portfolios, and focus on helping people sharpen their thinking, not just their output. I regularly participate in portfolio reviews with RGD and George Brown College, and contribute as a guest lecturer.

I sit on the PAC Community Advisory Board at George Brown College and, as of 2026, teach as an adjunct professor in the Brand Design program, working with first year students to help them see design as communication, and how to refine their taste.
